How to install the SocialRobot n8n node

Instance owners and admins install verified nodes from the canvas. After that, anyone on that n8n instance can use it.

Connect accounts in SocialRobot

The node publishes through logins under Scheduler → Accounts. You don't register a Meta or LinkedIn app of your own.

Create an API key

Scheduler → API keys. Copy it once. That's the same key the REST API sends as x-api-key.

Install from More from the community

On the canvas, hit + or press N. Open More from the community, find SocialRobot, then Install. Cloud owners can turn on verified community nodes in the Cloud Admin Panel if that section is missing.

Add the SocialRobot API credential

Credentials → SocialRobot API. Paste the key. Leave Base URL at https://socialrobot.io/api unless you run a local instance.

How do I install the SocialRobot n8n node?

Instance owners and admins install verified nodes from the canvas: open the nodes panel, search SocialRobot under More from the community, then Install. After that, anyone on the instance can use it. Self-hosted setups can also install @socialrobot-io/n8n-nodes-socialrobot from Settings → Community nodes.

Which platforms does n8n social media automation cover?

Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads. YouTube is not in the node. Each platform is its own Resource with Create; Post and Account cover get, list, delete, and reschedule.

Can I auto-post from RSS to Bluesky and Mastodon in n8n?

Yes. Import the Bluesky and Mastodon RSS workflow from GitHub, swap the feed URL, and map each SocialRobot node to the matching Resource. Those two networks have almost no templates in n8n's public gallery, which is why that workflow exists.

Do I need a paid SocialRobot plan for the n8n node?

API keys work on every plan, including Free. Free allows 2 accounts and 15 scheduled posts per month, and it does not include X. Starter ($19) is unlimited posts on 5 accounts. Pro ($29) adds X and 20 accounts. Rate limits match the REST API: 2,000 requests/minute and 200,000/day.

Should I use this node or n8n's HTTP Request?

Use the SocialRobot node when you want Resource and Operation fields, n8n credentials, and platform-specific Create. Use HTTP Request when you already have a working curl against https://socialrobot.io/api, or when you need an endpoint the node hasn't wrapped yet. Both talk to the same API.

n8n node, MCP, or REST API?

Use the n8n node when the trigger is a spreadsheet, RSS feed, webhook, or another app already on the canvas. Use MCP when you want Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to call tools after you approve. Use REST when you write the script. All three hit the same SocialRobot API.
